SUMMARY:Bicycle Home Maintenance Course
DESCRIPTION:This is our 1 day home mechanics course that will give you a comprehensive set of skills for servicing\, fixing and upgrading all the bikes in your family. \nYou bring your own bike (or a family) bike  and you will work on it through the course\, giving the bike a service by the end. It can be any bike – a child’s bike\, mountain bike\, road bike or even a folding bike. You will learn: \n1 – Fundamentals and Trail Repairs\n\nChecking your bike using an M check and determining what needs attention\nWhat tools you need for your home workshop and out on the trails\nHow to adjust your gears and eliminate indexing issues\nChecking and replacing brake blocks\nChecking and replacing tyres and fixing punctures\nLooking after and replacing your chain\n\n2 – Drivetrain\n\nReplacing cables\nCassettes\nFreehubs\nDerailleurs\nBottom brackets\nCranks\, chainrings and pedals\n\nThe cost of this 1 day course is normally £120\, but we are doing a half term special of £99 for this course.

SUMMARY:MIAS CycleFIT Level 3 Bike Maintenance Course
DESCRIPTION:Do you need a bike maintenance qualification\, so that you can get insurance to carry out repairs? \nThe MIAS CycleFIT Level 3 course is designed around the needs someone that maintains a fleet of bikes\, such as at a hire centre. By the end of the course you will be certified to replace any part on a bike and fix a lot of common maintenance issues\, as well as carrying out a full service on a bike. \nYou can bring your own bike to work on – that way your bike gets a service as part of you getting a qualification. \nThe course lasts 2 days and includes assessment as well as tuition. \nThis course will take place in Liddington Village Hall on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd December. \nThe course costs £275\, which includes all tuition\, assessments\, MIAS registration fees and logbook. Discounts are available for members of the armed forces\, Blue Light cards\, teachers\, members of cycling clubs and students and prospective employees of Neilson Active holidays.
