SUMMARY:Bluebells and Singletrack Guided Ride
DESCRIPTION:Come and enjoy the wonderful flowing singletrack and woodland trails of the Chiltern Hills surrounding the picturesque town of Henley-on-Thames. \nStart and finish at the car park near the River Thames on Mill Lane\, next to Henley Town Football Club. (The car park is free to use\, but can get busy.)  \nWe’ll be setting off at 10am\, with a leisurely pace with lots of opportunities to make stops on the way. \nThe route is suitable for any mountain bike\, hardtail\, full sus or ebike – bring whatever you like. \nRoute description\nFrom here go up along the edge of Henley and out through Harpsden Woods to Crowsley Park and on to Rotherfield Peppard. \n \nNext is some delightful singletrack and bluebell carpeted woods with an optional bombhole thrown in for good measure.  \nBombhole!\nOn to Nettlebed and out through the RSPB nature reserve with an adventurous down and up to Maidensgrove. \nA quick loop of Pishill (yes really!) and Russells Water\, before returning to Maidensgrove.  \n \nFrom here it’s a ridge run with some stunning views\, ending with an epic descent to the Assendons. \n \nHeading back towards Henley\, there is one final climb – short and steep – before the last great down back to the Fairmile. \n \nIt’s then a flat return back to Henley with the option of a riverside pub.  \nCheck out the full route on Komoot

It is recognised internationally and domestically and is an ideal qualification for teachers or leaders in organisations like the Scouts looking to deliver mountain biking activities. Check out our Q&A page for more information on MIAS courses.  \n\n\nThe course will take place on the Marlborough downs and you will learn route planning\, skills coaching\, leadership and guiding skills\, enabling you to guide groups in technical terrain. It will also qualify you to teach the skills required to ride at that level. These include front wheel lifts\, rear wheel lifts\, bunny hops\, drops and trail obstacles.
