Our Essential skills course is everything you need to get started mountain biking, along with all the skills you need to enjoy yourself safely and be able to progress at your own pace.
In the 2.5 hour session we:
Get you setup with your bike, getting you the best riding position
Introduce Body position – how to position yourself for maximum confidence and control
Using both these things to develop the fundamental skills – cornering, descending, ascending and tackling rough surfaces and smaller obstacles.
Cost is £50 per person.
10% discount for existing customers and members of Swindon cycling clubs.

Our third MIAS Mountain Bike Leader Level 2 course in 2024 will be in May, so if you missed the April one, you’ve got another chance.
The course will take place on the Marlborough downs and you will learn route planning, skills coaching, leadership and guiding skills, enabling you to guide groups in technical terrain. It will also qualify you to teach the skills required to ride at that level. These include front wheel lifts, rear wheel lifts, bunny hops, drops and trail obstacles.
The 2 day course will run over the weekend of 18th and 19th May 2024 at Liddington Village Hall and will cost £275, which includes your MIAS registration and log book.
