This is the perfect course for anyone wanting to working in mountain biking and is a standard qualification for many outdoor activity companies, such as Neilson Active. It is recognised internationally and domestically and is an ideal qualification for teachers or leaders in organisations like the Scouts looking to deliver mountain biking activities.

The course will take place in the epic Dartmoor national park and you will learn route planning, skills coaching, leadership and guiding skills, enabling you to guide groups in technical terrain. It will also qualify you to teach the skills required to ride at that level. These include front wheel lifts, rear wheel lifts, bunny hops, drops and trail obstacles.Â
The 2 day course will run on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th October 2026 at Princetown Community Centre. The course costs £280, which includes your MIAS registration and log book. Discounts are available for members of the armed forces, Blue Light cards, teachers, members of cycling clubs, students and prospective employees of Neilson Active holidays.
