MIAS Cycle Maintenance Course

We are running our first MIAS Bike Maintenance Course – CycleFIT Level 1/3

This a 2 day course that qualifies you as a mechanic to a level that would be able to look after a fleet of bikes – perfect for schools or hire centres. Topics include:

  • Tools
  • General pre-ride checks
  • Gear adjustment
  • Chain splitting
  • Brake adjustment
  • Puncture repair/tyre and replacement
  • Cassettes
  • Bottom Brackets
  • Headsets
  • Wheels
  • Seat posts and saddles
  • Pedals
  • Handlebars
  • Forks rigid/suspension

The 2 day course will run split with day 1 on Monday 11th and day 2 on Wednesday 13th May 2026 in Wichelstowe, Swindon and will cost £270, which includes your MIAS registration fees and log book.

MIAS MTB Ride Leader L1/L2 Course

Our next MIAS Mountain Bike Leader Level 2 course will run over the weekend of Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May 2026 at Liddington Village Hall. It costs £280, which includes your MIAS registration fees and log book.
This is the perfect course for anyone wanting to working in mountain biking and is a standard qualification for many outdoor activity companies. It is recognised internationally and domestically and is an ideal qualification for teachers or leaders in organisations like the Scouts looking to deliver mountain biking activities. The course will take place on the Marlborough downs and you will learn route planning, skills coaching, leadership and guiding skills, enabling you to guide groups in technical terrain. It will also qualify you to teach the skills required to ride at that level. These include front wheel lifts, rear wheel lifts, bunny hops, drops and trail obstacles.

Half Term MIAS Mountain Bike Leader course added

Our next MIAS Level 2 Mountain Bike Leader course is this coming half term on 28th and 29th October 2025 
The course will take place on the Marlborough downs and you will learn route planning, skills coaching, leadership and guiding skills, enabling you to guide groups in technical terrain. It will also qualify you to teach the skills required to ride at that level. These include front wheel lifts, rear wheel lifts, bunny hops, drops and trail obstacles.

MIAS Level 2 Mountain Bike Leader course

Very happy to announce our first MIAS Level 2 Mountain Bike Leader course!
The course will take place on the Marlborough downs and you will learn route planning, skills coaching, leadership and guiding skills, enabling you to guide groups in technical terrain.
